As soon as I finished the first book Secrets of the Last House Before the Sea, I dived into reading this one assuming it would just be another wonderful cozy read. It was and more. I not only got to enjoy reading about Driftwood House and what had happened with Rosie and Liam but got an incredible story with unexpected twists and turns. The characters and action-packed scenes sent me on an emotional roller coaster. I look forward to the 3rd book in the series. It's important to note this could be a stand-alone, however more enjoyable if you've read how Driftwood House became a Bed & Breakfast run by Rosie. This is a great continuation of this series although it could be read as a stand alone too. I love the very descriptive, beautiful writing that just flows in my opinion. The town, people, relationships between family members, town folks & romantic relationships were great. Character development was excellent, which I especially like as I've always been interested in psychology. The sea & town is described so beautifully that I'd want to go there myself with the cobbled streets, gorgeous cliffs & sea with storms, etc. just pulled me in. I'd definitely recommend this books to anyone who enjoys, positive, fun & light reading.
